For those in need of some good lolz: Heywood returns to GAFF and he hasn't changed a bit. I have no idea if that post he's quoting was some kind of dig (if so, who did it? Fess up!), or if it was some innocent thing and he's just being his old uber-paranoid self.

In my last post here about GAFF I was recalling to someone how he had once told me that "your name means nothing here" when I dared, dared to not kiss his ass as most people were doing at the time. And now, after nearly 4 years, he's doing exactly the same thing to someone else.

Who do you guys figure he thinks it is? Me? Or a certain other person? (Neither of us were ever friends with Vanessa or on her side.) Either way, it's funny...and yet sad, because I had really hoped he had changed and grown up some. Ah, well.

(Unless it's not really Heywood and we're being played. But it's just so him that I have a hard time believing that it could be someone else.)

BTW, for those of you who remember all that, you may also remember the jammie penguins. Sad to say that at the end of 2008 I retired them, for after years of hot penguin lovin' they were just plain worn out (not to mention full of cat-claw holes). But never fear! I have a brand-new pair of jammie penguin pants...and they're fleecy. Ooooooh yeah.

ETA: Just copying the quote for future reference since GAFF will be lost soon.

I have a secret I can finally confess. I have a crush on Vanessa.

That's the second time you've dropped the bait and the second time you've been completely ignored. Your obvious irrelevance to the people here must really burn. You always did hate being ignored. :D:D:D

You mean your previous pajamas *weren't* fleece? Fleece or flannel is a necessity in this climate, I find -- at least when it's cold enough to require pajamas.

As for the quote, I have *no* idea what that's about. But that's O.K.. I see GAFF also managed to cease to exist without my noticing, which I regret, but I've been busy lately. Such is life, unfortunately.

Nope, they were just cotton. My apartment was usually pretty warm, so I only needed those and a sheet and blanket at night (I would add a comforter if really necessary). Now I sleep next to a man who doubles as a radiator, so I'd never be able to wear the fleecy ones in bed anyway! I just wear them around the house if I'm feeling chilly.

GAFF hasn't ceased to exist...yet. It's still there, but likely for only a few more days. Let the SG know how awesome he was while you still have time!

And I suppose what it's about is Heywood remembering the old "war" of the SO players. He must assume it was one of us, and I know it wasn't a couple of other people (or me, obviously), so now I'm trying to figure out who it was. If it was really anyone at all...it still could have been an innocent remark from another oldbie, since Vanessa was caustic enough to be a sort of precursor to Leslie, and we all love Leslie!

It could be anyone or anyone, couldn't it? I know I certainly enjoyed Vanessa's commentary on the threads I was involved with, though that comment wasn't me, either.

And I suppose what it's about is Heywood remembering the old "war" of the SO players.

I'm afraid that doesn't enlighten me at all, since I wasn't involved and don't know what happened. Then again, I'm slightly befuddled from too much drink on an empty stomach this evening, so I'm easily confused. The drunken state is unexpected -- I only had a glass of wine while preparing dinner, but I hadn't eaten during the day and dinner was late after a long day, so the result was SUPER!ALCOHOL and more ALCOHOL! in my system even after dinner. If this keeps up I will become a cheap drunk. The solution is simple -- less work, more lunch...

What? Did you think I was going to say less alcohol? ;)

I think we have to blame the SUPER!ALCOHOL for this one, because you were actually the first one to whom I laid out the whole story in writing (through GAFF PM, responding because you had asked!) before later copy/pasting those PMs into my LJ. You never responded there, though.

*hunting hunting hunting* Okay, here (http://tripathy.livejournal.com/2005/05/27/) is the post showing the story of the SO war, and this (http://tripathy.livejournal.com/14658.html) is the entry about the jammie penguins. In case any of it jogs your memory!

If not, have some more ALCOHOL! ^_^

Hee. Guilty as charged. I had forgotten the incident entirely!

Unfortunately I don't think I can blame the alcohol -- mostly work distractions of late that have blotted out my short term memory almost entirely. I'd forget my head if it wasn't screwed on at the moment, truly.

I haven't forgotten some other important things though -- how's your father doing?

Edited because my grammar fails. Yes, even though I'm sober now. So sad...

Da's actually completely back to normal, back home and back to work like nothing ever happened. It turns out that he had actually taken some Nyquil the night before it happened, which is out of the ordinary for him, so we figure that must have been it. He said that although he hadn't taken it in a very long time (probably twenty years or so), since he had taken it before he never thought that there would be a problem. You can bet he won't be taking any of that again!

For what, not kissing his ass? Not that I ever did--he and I were simply friends once--but my problems with him were personal. Which is why I kept it all here and made sure I never brought them to GAFF. Unlike him, but that was just one of his many failings that eventually led to him losing his crown.

I feel the need to weigh in here. On Wednesday, January 21 at 12:57 p.m., Heywood was on lunch-break from work. We were on the phone while we sat in our respective cars, eating lunch. He wasn't anywhere near a computer.

I think you've been played.
