Yup, last day online for a week. I'm finally off to LG tomorrow! So no updates here for a while (sorry, Ly ^_~).
Took the kitties in to be boarded this morning...man, I hate doing that. My poor babies! They bawl in the car all the way there, and once we get inside they get really quiet and scared and refuse to come out of their cages. I had to pretty well drag Fi out just so I could hold him on my lap while Ma took Loony in for her appointment. Poor Loon...she's gonna get treatment for her tummy rash (which she causes by licking herself too much) while she's there, so she's gonna have an even worse time. For an obsessive-compulsive bather like her, that lampshade collar is gonna suck.
Loon is so evil and such a pig. She scratched poor Kel on the face this morning when Kel caught her to put her in her cage. And when she got put into the cage at the vet's place, she instantly started eating the food. I'd fed her less than two hours earlier! I'll bet she finished that entire bowl right away.
Fi sat nicely on my lap while I waited. That's a first. My poor baby spent most of that with his face tucked into my arm. And he's mad at me now. Weebs and Chaos each gave my hand a rub when I put it in the cage (they get to share one), and even Loony turned away from her food for a second to give Ma's hand a rub. But when I put my hand in Fi's cage he just turned his head away and wouldn't even look at me. I feel so bad ;_;.
Funny thing is, Fi has Loony on one side and a Loony look-alike on the other. We'd never seen a cat that looked so much like her! Same kind of markings, same kind of fatso (although this one was a bit bigger).
On the way out we peeked into the sort of "hospital ward". There was a cat with little teeny babies in there, and a kitty who was 23! Man, that's old! And it was apparently still healthy...just under observation while being boarded because of its age. Wow, I wish Muff could have lived that long. She wasn't even 16 when she died. I miss her sometimes...but I like to think that in death she gave another kitty a chance for a home.
Okay, if I think about that too much I might cry. Bad enough I have no Fi to comfort me.
So, LG tomorrow! I'm done packing except for the morning stuff. I think my little bratty baby did a wee-wee under my desk at some point, because my old schoolbag reeks. Not that it wasn't half-busted anyway, but my other bag is too small to pack stuff in. Lucky thing there's no shortage of pretty-cheap-but-big-enough bags to choose from in our house. So I'm packed.
Can't wait to get out of here. Not looking forward to the "so what are you doing now?" questions I know I'll get from Marilyn, but that's okay. I just want to get back to my mountains.
Haven't got my stupid period yet. I'm so betting it comes tomorrow so that I'll have it the entire time I'm away.
Finished watching the last of the Queer as Folk S1 DVDs. The bloopers are pretty funny. And Gale Harold (Brian Kinney) is hot, and his character is the best. I love that show ^_^. Man, the season-ender made me cry. I loved the Brian & Justin prom dance. I really like scenes like that, where you forget about the sex part and just see two people who are in love, regardless of gender.
Here's a tangent: That was one thing that pissed me off on Buffy--the whole lesbian-Willow thing. In the beginning she was with Tara because she'd found her sould mate, who just happened to be another woman. But then she became a full-out (pardon the pun) lesbian, and it didn't seem to be so much about the love any more. I know I wasn't the only one who found that annoying. IMO it kind of cheapened the character. Must every show have a gay character in it in some stupid attempt to be PC or "on the edge"? Sheesh.

*finally tears self away from Soul Reaver and T3 soundtrack music for the first time in a couple of days* Can't tire myself out of that music!
Speaking of SR, I love my new desktop. Maybe I can scare/disturb Kel with it ^_^.
*prints out some pics of Turbo* I wish my colour ink cartridge wasn't empty. It's just not the same effect to have these pics in black and white. Oh well...they'll still come with me as models, and I'm gonna see if I can draw a bit while in LG. I also hope to get some inspiration for Risk fic too... *pleasepleaseplease*
I think that's about it. I'll miss the RP, but I might be too busy to notice. Should give Sail loads of time to think up more evil plots, though! ^_^ Go, evil plots!
