Music, music, music, and LG musings

Yes, my obsession of the moment. Off to LG soon (less than 3 days now!), and must have a bunch of new music to take with me!

Downloaded a bunch more Baldur's Gate stuff (thanks to Ly for that tip!) to fill up the CD...a little too well. I actually had to take off a couple of tracks. Then the burner suddenly decided it just didn't like one of the files and refused to put it on the CD. No fair! That was one of the tracks I wanted to keep for sure! Stupid burner doesn't know what it's talking about. That was the same kind of file as all the others. >_<

Oh, well. I shan't let that get me down when I have other things to get me down. Like the fact that my stupid period didn't come on time and therefore I'm gonna get it while in LG. Dammit! Swimming and water parks are a big part of this vacation! I'll bet it's the fault of those stupid pills I've been taking. Well, that's it for those, and I'm not renewing the prescription. Silly placebos aren't doing anything anyway.

Okay, enough of that. I have my new CD. I think I might buy the T3 soundtrack anyway...the music isn't by the same guy who did the first two movies, but it's pretty good anyway. Ah, dark stuff...

And another thanks to Sail for pointing me to the Soul Reaver music. Most of it isn't that great, but the main theme...*contented sigh*. I can't wait to show this stuff to Randy. Imagine! Who'd have thought that video games would be an untapped goldmine of good music!

Hopefully he didn't. For once I'd like to beat him to the punch on this kind of thing. :P

LG is gonna be fun with him there. He hasn't been there at the same time as us for a few years now. He'll only be there 3 days, but during that time Kel and I will get to ride in his car, with its awesome stereo, loads of leg room and smooth ride. Not to mention that it just looks a lot better than a van with rust on its rear.

Weeble is needy again. It's hard to type with a cat on your shoulders. *puts Weebs down* Aw, she got fur on the keyboard. *wipes that off*

I'm gonna miss Fi while we're gone. I'll have to warn the people taking care of them that he's a biter. I hate the thought of him and the other kitties having to be in those cages near those annoying barking dogs for a week. Stupid dogs. They should keep the cats far from the dogs so they don't have to put up with that constant racket.

I hope the cottage doesn't look too different. Stupid fire. Why did it have to happen in our cottage? Why not burn that crappy one next door? Now the place probably won't smell woodsy like it's supposed to any more. The bathroom is gonna be all changed, and they say there isn't even knotty pine walls in our bedroom any more. That SUCKS! PineView should never change! It's an important part of my childhood/life!

Lake...man, I can't wait. Swimming, canoeing...having my beautiful green Adirondacks all around...

Gotta go get my American money from the bank tomorrow. Go buy it like I would anything else. Stupid money is so expensive and all the same colour. Boring and confusing, since they all look like $20s to me. And all those $1 bills! I prefer $1 coins. Not to mention that they don't have any $2 denominations. Having a stack of ones in your wallet is annoying. What's so wrong with having a $2 something?

American money is silly.

I have no lamp or poster to buy this year in Spencer! Goodness, what will I do? My collection of funky lamps is complete as far as I'm concerned, and I have no more space on my walls for another poster. There's nothing that I'd want to take down and replace, so I think I just won't look at the posters this year. Yeah.

Hm, LG nostalgia. I wanna do something a bit different this year. There must be something we haven't done. Kel and I have decided we're not going on that boring and expensive cruise-Lake George thing. Ma wants to take the meal cruise, which costs like $35 for a kinda-crappy dinner and boring "entertainment". No, thanks. Maybe Kel and I will go see what kind of pubs they have in LG Village. Ah, poor Kel...she can't even drink there. Talk about lame, having to wait til you're 21 in the US. I can't imagine being a university student down there and yet unable to drink legally. Obviously it's easy enough to get around, but still.

I don't wanna go to the arcade again this year. We've pretty well gotten every prize we could have ever wanted from all the arcades in the village, so it's useless to keep going back every year. That lightning game is so darn addictive, too.

Okay, that's enough nostalgia.

Sail still isn't coming on early...gonna make me stay up til 3am again >_<...
