Spendin' mah money
Jul. 25th, 2003 12:32 amYup, that's what I was doing today. Spending the money I'm not making. It was necessary stuff, but still...
First I got my hair cut and my roots fixed up so I'm bright blonde again. My spikes stand up easily now ^_^. She only charged me $10 this time. It's such a sweet deal.
Since it had been raining and looked like it might start again, I just took the bus all the way to Fairview instead of getting off and waking home from the stop. I wanted platform sneakers and maybe a new bathing suit if I could find a good one, but I couldn't find either. Seems platform sneakers must be "out" or something. Dammit! I busted my last pair (beyond repair) and I want something I can wear other than my boots. My jeans are just too darn long for real sneakers of flat shoes. I have no choice but to wear my boots all summer.
I decided to go into my clothes store, which is always a costly mistake. But I really do need something I can wear to an interview (should I get one). I have nothing between casual and club- or party-fancy clothes, and the black pants I have are too big for me now. So I bought a new pair of black pants and a blouse-type top, which had both thankfully been marked down. I also wanted another pair of jeans that fit. Of course the only one I could find that fit properly and looked good was the $95 pair. Sigh. They looked really good, though...nice wide flair, that dark-but-faded look, and pockets and zippers all over. So what could I do? I still need jeans that fit, so I bought them. I'm so bad.
...And yet so pleased. I've gone down another size ^_^. This presents a slight problem because these smaller sizes are always the first to go and the hardest to find, but it's so cool to ask for the smaller size. It means I can't wait for some item to go on sale any more because there won't be any left in my size. Darn. Still, that's two full sizes down now!
And then I went and bought two pairs of sunglasses because I needed those too. I wreck sunglasses so fast. So now I have two new pairs of the mirrored kind. Hopefully I won't have to bend them all out of shape to conform to my asymmetrical face (darn ears being not level :P).
No dinner at home tonight, so I just stayed at the mall and had a plate of mexican rice and salad. Couldn't even finish the plate, and felt awful afterwards. Normal.
So nothing more on the job front today unless you count buying an outfit for a possible interview someday. At least I'll look good in said interview. I gotta get back to looking.
I was gonna burn some CDs tonight, but I just didn't feel like it. Tomorrow, maybe. Actually, I'd prefer to go somewhere tomorrow night. At the very least out of the house so I can show off my new jeans to somebody. Maybe I'll call my bro. With Liz away, Sail saying she won't be on much tomorrow, and Ly's muse kinda absent, there's really no reason to stay in at all.
Yeah. Gotta show off those jeans. It's important.
