Ah, yes. I believe I was up to Thursday of the LG vacation.

I forgot to mention that during the Darkened Drive where we got lost, we saw a deer leap across the road. Had it done so about 15 seconds later, we might have been in trouble...we saw it just landing on the other side of the road before leaping into the forest. God, there's something so totally eerie about that. Dark road, even darker forest/mountains on both sides, and suddenly this incredibly graceful creature is moving in the light of the headlights. It's almost...what, supernatural? Like dreamy? Eerie, at the least.

Thursday: Sucky day. My period finally caught up with me, and what do you know, it was the first day we were actually getting a chance to swim. So I was pissed. I was pissed at my bro because I'd wanted to swim the day before but I got stuck running errands with him instead. I was pissed at everything, and he probably got that I was pissed at him, which was kinda true...I felt bad later, though. After watching Ter and Kel down at the beach for a while, I couldn't help myself. I hate tampons, but no way was I gonna miss out on swimming. So I went and swam for a bit, kindasorta playing frisbee with the rest of the people. Or rather, fetching frisbees that went "out of bounds" as the others played between the raft and the beach.

Didy left halfway through the afternoon...he'd already checked out of his room in the morning, and that was the last of his days off. So off he went.

Was forced to go out for dinner again...god, I'm happy we don't have to see another Friendly's for another year.

Kel and I went out in the canoe after dinner. We brought bread to feed ducks or geese, but couldn't find any geese and couldn't catch up with the ducks.

Found an absolutely hilarious show on SpikeTV..."Most Extreme Elimination Challenge". OMG, it was funny! Some absurd Japanese game show "dubbed" into english. Man, between that and the crazy stuff on late-night Cartoon Network, I wish I got American cable too.

Friday: More swimming. More fun, once George came down to play again. That guy'll always be a big kid. He's like Da's age or something, but he always looks the same to me year after after year. We and a few others tried "sinking the raft" as we usually do...quite easy to do now that we all weigh a hell of a lot more than we did as kids. This time we had 5 adults and 2 kids on the raft and we tried to sink the entire thing at once instead of just one corner. We could get it pretty close to being completely underwater, but then one corner would destabilize and we'd all kinda fall that way.The carpet cover on the raft already had a couple of rips in it...and we shredded the rest of it that afternoon. I have to say I had a very large hand in doing so. One of the times the raft tipped nearly vertical, I was at the back...so everyone else fell off, and I slid down, catching myself in the carpet as I went. Right at the edge I finally slipped off my feet and hit my ass on the edge of the raft before falling in.

Ow.

My butt still hurts.

Anyhoo, Ter and Kel had to get out before me cause the rest of them were going out to dinner. I told Ma that was it, I was sick of eating out and having to eat way more than I wanted/needed. So I had the cottage to myself for a while...left the beach when most of the other people got out of the water, had a nice long shower (cause god knows you need to be quick in the shower when you have one bathroom for six people), found an old episode of Knight Rider (KITT still rocks ^_^) and ate Cocoa Krispies for dinner. When tehy others got back from Burger King (*gak*), Kel and I played Ping Pong while having a semi-deep discussion on Transformers canon and other such things.

Ma bitched the entire day about how hot it was and how she had to pack up everything and bla bla bla...

Saturday: Leaving day. First thing in the morning, Ma's bitching. Gotta hurry up and pack teh rest of the stuff and get into the air-conditioned car cause it's so hot!! -_- So we got rushed out of there without getting to do our "final sweep" of the rooms. That adaptor for my discman got left behind...Kel unplugged it from her discman the night before and let the cord fall behind the dresser, so I didn't see it. Anyhoo, George is gonna mail it to us.

I purposely left that squishy SpongeBob toy thingy behind. Yuk. Maybe it'll make some kid happy.

Had to eat at Friendly's one more time for lunch >_<. There was no lineup at the border, although the lineup going the other way was as crazy as it had been on the way down.

The trip was without incident...it's only 3 hours long anyway. We all unpacked when we got home, and I decided to try on the platform sneakers I'd bought...and found that somehow I'd ended up with two left shoes!

Dammit!

Now I have to mail the shoes back and hope I can get a replacement. Not like I could drive all the way back to Albany for the day just to get that problem fixed. How the hell did I end up with two left shoes?! Now I can't wear my new pants until I get the shoes!

Well, that's the end of it. If I forgot stuff it probably wasn't really worth remembering. Most of the stuff is just the same year after year. I didn't lose any more weight while we were away, obviously, seeing as how we ate out so frelling many times. However, pretty well the first thing Marilyn said to me when we arrived there was "did you lose weight?". That always feels kinda nice ^_^.

Okay, that's it. Tomorrow I'll try to catch up to date. Gonna rant about that virus. Yeah.
