We've had a bit of snow since that storm, but now there is nothing in the forecast for next few days (we're in the middle of that cold snap right now, albeit nowhere near as bad as central/western Canada was getting it), so everything is clear enough that walking around outside isn't a problem.

As for the ankle, I'm pleased to be taking the last anti-inflammatory pill tonight, and I only have two more days of antibiotics. It would be so nice if this could finally be over after that!

But man, don't even get me started on the downsides of being a home owner! I'm considering telling everyone I know to just lease a nice ready-to-move-in place rather than buy. Renovations are one crappy nightmare after another. I mean, I've always wanted a house (I hate having only one floor) but I'd probably have been happier renting one, knowing that if something needs fixing then it's not me who has to fix it or pay for it. Seriously, owning a house is a gigantic time/money sink. I mean, I have zero flair for decorating (so I don't care about "personalizing" wall colour or anything and found it a chore rather than fun to pick out new stuff for this house) and would be happy as long as wherever I lived didn't look like it was a 40-year-old piece of crap, so it's hard to see the upside of owning versus renting. I suppose the payoff comes decades down the road when I don't have to pay a mortgage anymore? Long time to wait for it to be truly worth it...

...And I didn't want to get ranty! Oh, well XD. I'm just very tired of waiting and I don't know how to get Paul to get moving on that floor without seeming like a constant nag (since it has to be all him; I can't help with that at all). -_-
